How ASTAR DANCE store your information and what we use it for (GDPR)

At ASTAR dance we already treat any information you give us in the strictest of confidence which we believe complies with the current legislation. However we do need to explain how we use your personal data.

At present when you join ASTAR you complete an enrolment form which means we have all the details we need to contact you in an emergency and also all required information about your child so we can ensure any medical conditions are treated accordingly. This data is sorted on paper copies which are locked in a filing cabinet and not accessible to anybody else and all emailed copies are kept in a password protected folder. We keep the information for as long as we deem necessary and only use the information to help us complete all the administration needed to run ASTAR. We may need to share this information with other parties on relation to the business such as IDTA for exams, local council for show licenses and Competition organisers for competition squad members.

Going forward you have the right to ask us what informationwe hold about you at any time and also have the right to amend/correct any information that is out of date or wrong.

You have the right to be removed from any mailing lists however we need to keep details of payments for up to three years after you’ve left ASTAR dance.

Unless you tell us otherwise we will continue to keep you on our mailing and text lists.
